The public is invited to participate in Seed to Cup: The Art of Coffee, on Saturday, Apr. 22, from 9 a.m.-12 noon. The workshop is equally beneficial for home-brewed coffee lovers and food service professionals.

Explore the marvelous complexity of your morning cup of coffee: how it is harvested, processed, evaluated, transported, roasted, brewed and delivered to your favorite mug. You will be guided through sensory evaluation exercises and learn proper techniques to brew the very best cup at home or work.  You will take home a ceramic pour-over, coffee filters and freshly roasted coffee to practice your technique.

Instructor Ali Johnston has worked in the coffee industry as a barista, coffeehouse owner, coffee roaster and quality analyst. She is certified by the Specialty Coffee Association as a Lead Instructor and by the Coffee Quality Institute as a Q-Arabica and Q-Robusta Grader.

Call 304-645-7917 or visit www.carnegiehallwv.org for registration details. Carnegie Hall membership discounts may be applied.
