New River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

service Sunday, Nov. 8 will begin at 11 a.m. Visitors are welcome. The Fellowship is located at 911 South Kanawha Street, Beckley.

Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church

A Veterans Celebration is being planned by Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church at 12 noon on Veterans’ Day, Nov. 11. The event will begin with a short service of praise and thanksgiving followed by a free spaghetti lunch. Veterans and their spouses are invited to join the celebration and receive a thank you gift from the congregation. The church is located at 103 Railroad Avenue in Alderson. Second Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church

will hold a Turkey Dinner and Bake Sale in the Church’s Fellowship Hall Saturday, Nov. 14 from 3 to 6 p.m. Cost: adults $8, children (6 years of age and younger) $4. (To-go trays available.) Menu features turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans,slaw, roll, dessert and drink. Hosted by Second Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church Women’s Ministry.1

Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church

will host a Memorial Service Sunday, Nov. 15, with placing of flags on veterans’ graves, lighting of luminaries around the graveyard at 5 p.m, and Taps at 6 p.m. An indoor service will follow immediately. All are welcome. Those who have loved ones buried in Bethel Cemetery are given a special invitation to attend and take part in the lighting ceremony and indoor service. The church is located on Hokes Mill Road, Organ Cave.

Griffith Creek Baptist Church

located 3 miles out of Alderson are inviting you to the Awana program each Wednesday night September-May for children 3-18 years of age from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Food, fun, and classes for everyone. Adult Bible Study 6:45 p.m. – ? Bus route in Alderson; times and locations call the church at 304-445-2653 or Pastor Audie Sorg at 304-445-2243. Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday nights.
