New River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
service Sunday, Oct. 18 will begin at 11 a.m. Visitors are welcome. The Fellowship is located at 911 South Kanawha Street, Beckley.
The Greenbrier Valley Aglow Community Lighthouse
will hold its monthly meeting Monday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at Living Waters Family Worship Center on Montvue Drive (formerly Calvary Baptist). Guest speakers will be Pat and Gary Allmon of Mexico Mission Ministry. They reside in Cleveland, TN. Aglow is collecting crayons and pencils to send to the school children in southern Mexico. Second Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church’s
Pastor Appreciation Sunday for Pastor Don and Sharon Trent will be Sunday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. Ben Reed from Dublin, VA, will be Ministering The Word. A covered dish dinner will follow in the fellowship hall with the church providing chicken and ham. If you would like, bring a dish and celebrate with us. There will be no evening service.
Spring Creek Presbyterian Church
at Renick will hold Revival Services on Oct. 22, 23, and 24. Speakers will be: Rev. Steve Barnette on Thursday, Rev. Phil Hickman on Friday and Pastor Robert Lynn Randolph on Saturday. Special singers each night: Homer Hunter on the 22nd, Lindsay and Maddie Deskins on the 23rd and Tina Hedrick on Saturday, the 24th. Services start at 7 p.m., everyone welcome.
Annual Pie Supper set in Summers County
The Clayton-Griffith Creek Annual Pie Supper will be held Saturday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. at the Clayton Community Building in Clayton. The event will feature a children’s fish pond, pretty girl and ugly man cakes, cake walks, door prizes, auction and grab bags; serving hot dogs, barbecue and pies galore. Fun for all ages. Come for an evening of fun, food and fellowship.
Griffith Creek Baptist Church
located 3 miles out of Alderson are inviting you to the Awana program each Wednesday night September-May for children 3-18 years of age from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Food, fun, and classes for everyone.
