St. James Episcopal Church

will hold their spring yard sale Friday, Apr. 17 and Saturday, Apr. 18 from 8 a.m. to noon. The church is located at 218 Court Street.

Emmanuel United Methodist Church

in White Sulphur Springs will have its Indoor Flea Market (basement area) open Friday and Saturday, Apr. 17 and 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days. All clothing, coats and shoes are $1 per item. Bargain prices on many items including glassware, tableware, household goods and knickknacks. Emmanuel UMC is located adjacent to the WSS Civic Center and patrons may use the church parking lot at the Hanna Lane entrance. The monthly flea markets benefit Emmanuel UMC programs and projects.

New River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

service Sunday, Apr. 19 will begin at 11 a.m. Visitors are welcome to attend. The Fellowship is located at 911 South Kanawha Street, Beckley.

Liberty Christian School

will have a yard sale plus hot dog and bake sale Saturday, Apr. 25, beginning at 8 a.m., in the lower parking lot and fellowship hall of Greenbrier Valley Church of the Nazarene. Proceeds go for the school’s upcoming trip to the Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY. The church is located at Davis Stuart Road and Dawkins Drive, one-half mile south of the hospital in Fairlea. At 6 p.m. the school will host a benefit gospel sing at the church, featuring the Eades Mountain Boys from Monroe County.

Oak Grove United Methodist Church

will hold a yard sale and apple butter making Saturday, May 2, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church in Ballengee.

Pence Springs Community Church

will hold Spring Revival Services May 3 through May 6, at 7 p.m. each evening. Speaker: Randy Burdette. Pastor Roger Persinger and the congregation invite everyone to attend.

Lewisburg Baptist Church

Youth Group will present a Car Show May 9 – all cars, trucks, motorcycles and tractors welcome. Registration $10, starts at 9 a.m. Featuring live Bluegrass Gospel Band New Horizon. All proceeds go to Lewisburg Baptist Youth Group Mission Trip to Nassau, Bahamas, in August to work at a church camp. There will be concessions and a silent auction. Admission: $2.

Lewisburg United Methodist Church

will hold Creative Camp for any child ages 4/rising pre-K to rising 6th graders will be held at the church June 2-5, from 9 a.m.-12 noon. Come enjoy learning true stories about Jesus through the arts with daily live bands, basket creating, skits, edible art, wood working, bird feeders, clay and more. Join Rev. Bev Colombo, LUMC’s minister of youth, families, and creative worship, along with parent volunteers, for this special four-day event offered at no cost to families. Register prior to May 15 by contacting the LUMC office at 304-645-2727.

Greenbrier Valley Aglow Community Lighthouse

The Greenbrier Valley Aglow Community Lighthouse will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, Apr. 20 at 7 p.m. at Living Waters Family Worship Center on Montvue Drive (former Calvary Baptist Church). The guest speaker this month will be Virgie Phillips, an ordained minister, an evangelist and she ministers in the prison system. Virgie resides near Crows, VA, and is the mother of four daughters. We will also have communion and an old-fashioned foot-washing. Towels and foot tubs will be provided. For more information call 304-445-7742 or 304-646-2704.
