New River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

Greenbrier Valley Nazarene

The Journeymen Quartet, a West Virginia Southern gospel quartet based in Milton, will be in concert at Greenbrier Valley Church of the Nazarene in Fairlea Sunday, Sept. 1, in the 10:30 a.m. service. The church is located at Davis Stuart Road and Dawkins Drive, approximately one-half mile south of Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea. The Rev. Glen Thaxton is pastor.

Fort Spring Missionary Baptist

will begin their new Awana Year on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 6:45 p.m. Awana is a youth program whose mission is to help churches and parents worldwide raise children and youth to know, love and serve Christ. Awana is derived from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. The night will include orientation for new clubbers and the evening will conclude with everyone enjoying a 12 foot Banana Split. Pastor Hunt, Awana Workers and Clubbers invite everyone to a attend and share this special night. Awana meets every Wednesday evening from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. and we accept new clubbers every week. We have a bus Ministry which runs in the Ronceverte/Fairlea and Alderson areas. ‘Fall For God’ Revival in Talcott

Spiritual Truth Ministry will host a “Fall for God” Revival Sept. 5-8 at the Talcott Firehouse. The Revival will take place in the yard if the weather is agreeable, so bring a chair. The services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday – Saturday, Sept. 5-7 and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8. Jeff Furrow will be our guest speaker for the Sunday service. This 4-day event is something you won’t want to miss, as it is in honor of God for his wonderful harvest and love. This is a non-denominational service, so all can attend. We hope you will give God this time for the “Fall for God” Revival. Greenbrier Valley Aglow Community Lighthouse

holds monthly meetings the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Fairfield Inn in Lewisburg.
