Ronceverte Baptist Church plans special holiday events

During this Christmas season, the Ronceverte Baptist Church (RBC) would like to invite the community join us for some special events:  a Phillips and Banks concert, a Christmas cantata, a Candlelight Service and our regular Sunday services at 11 a.m. especially if you do not have a church home. On Friday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m., there will be a Christmas concert featuring the progressive southern gospel group Phillips and Banks. Married couples, Jacob and Carmen Phillips and Caleb and Autumn Banks bring a distinctive and smooth sound to their music which includes acapella numbers, novelty Christmas songs, traditional carols and southern gospel selections. On Sunday morning at 11 a.m., the RBC choir will present a cantata entitled The Heart of Heaven. Directed by Sally Parker and narrated by Pastor Ken Hawes, the choir members include Artie Barker, Rhonda Childers, Janice Deem, Courtney Elmore, Seth Elmore, Ken Hawes, Michelle Jones, Tom Moretz, Bryan Morgan, Susan Morgan, Shelden Mullens, Katrina Rutherford, Dreama West, Karen West and Angel Williams. Soloists are Courtney and Seth Elmore. The choir will perform the cantata again on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. And on Christmas Eve, there will be a candlelight service beginning at 5:30 p.m. Pastor Ken Hawes and the congregation invite all to attend these services. The Light Shines in the Darkness: A Lighting Drama

A special Advent service “The Light Shines in the Darkness: A Lighting Drama” will be presented at McMillion UM Church, Friars Hill on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. All are invited to come experience the story of Christ’s light breaking through the shadows. Refreshments to follow.

Celebrating Recovery program at Mt. Hermon UMC

Please join us for our Celebrating Recovery program at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church in Renick. If you are dealing with any type of addiction issues, we invite you to join us each Tuesday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. Childcare is available and a meal is served prior to each meeting. For more information call 304-667-2532. We are located at 27404 Seneca Trail North, Renick, WV.

Worship Services and other events at Lewisburg Baptist

Please join us for services and events at Lewisburg Baptist Church – a Bible believing and Gospel preaching Church nestled in the heart of Greenbrier County. Worship services are conducted on Sundays at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., and on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. Sunday School for children and for adults are on Sundays at 10 a.m. On Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. other events include Awana Clubs (age 3 to Grade 6) and Teen Challenge Ministry (Grade 7 – 12). Church van pick up is also available on Sundays and Wednesdays. Lewisburg Baptist Church is located at 246 Grand Avenue in Lewisburg, WV.
