Mt. Vernon Pie and Ice Cream Supper

There will be a Pie and Ice Cream Supper at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church Saturday, Sept. 7, at 5 p.m. The church is located between Fort Spring and Sinks Grove on Mt. Vernon Road. The menu will consist of pork barbecue, hot dogs, various side dishes, several types of desserts, including pie and ice cream. Proceeds will be used for the church ministries. Excess food items, including pies, will be auctioned after the meal.

Community Pentecostal Holiness Church Homecoming

Community Pentecostal Holiness Church on Brush Road in Lewisburg, will have their annual Homecoming on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 11 a.m. We will have special singing. Singers will be 3:16 Crossroads which consist of Johnny Shores, Bob Neff, and Jeff Bryant. Everyone is welcome to this special service.

St. James Episcopal Church Tailgate Come join St. James Episcopal Church for good food and fun on Sunday, Sept. 8, for a Tailgate Celebration commemorating the start of our fall programming.  St. James is a welcoming and inclusive community where people of all stripes come to have an experience of the sacred, to find healing and renewal, and to engage in the well-being of the wider Lewisburg area. Our Tailgate Celebration is an annual event where we showcase our various ministries and programs and where members and visitors alike chat and relax, learn more about the St. James community, and enjoy some good food and company. The Tailgate starts immediately following our 10:30 service (roughly 12 noon) and is held in the St. James’ parking lot on Court Street.

St. Charles Borromeo Church

The World Famous St. Charles Borromeo Spaghetti Dinner will be served on Sunday, Oct. 6, from 4 to 6 p.m.  at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 40798 Midland Trail E., White Sulphur Springs, WV 24986. Adult $15, Children (under 12) $5. Dinner includes spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert, and a drink. Spaghetti with meat sauce or vegetarian options available. Dine in or Take out. 50/50 Raffle. For ticket reservations call the church office at 304-536-1813.Tickets will also be sold at the door.
