New River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

service Sunday, Feb. 15 will begin at 11 a.m. Visitors are welcome to attend. The Fellowship is located at 911 South Kanawha Street, Beckley.

St. James Episcopal Church

will hold their Annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church at 218 Church Street, Lewisburg. On the menu: pancakes (choice of buckwheat or buttermilk, gluten free will also be available on request), sausage, stewed apples and choice of beverage. Cost: adults $7, children under 12 $3 or family rate $20. Proceeds go to supplies for 2015 WVSOM Mission Trips.

Old Stone Presbyterian Church

will celebrate Ash Wednesday on Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. This service marks the first day of Lent and the beginning of the 40 days leading to Holy Week which is culminated in the Easter Celebration. We encourage you to come and take part in this special service which will be led by Rev. Cameron Harkness.

Greenbrier Valley Aglow Community Lighthouse

will hold its monthly meeting the third Monday of this month in Lewisburg. The guest speaker will be Carolyn Lehrke. Carolyn served as a missionary in South Africa from 1985-1998. She is also a retired nurse and resides in Lewisburg. The public is invited to attend the next meeting on Monday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. at Living Waters Family Worship Center on Montvue Drive.
