The annual Christmas Tree Lane Bazaar at the Lewisburg United Methodist Church has been a tradition for years and years! Under the sponsorship of the United Methodist Women, the bazaar will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1 at the church.
The bazaar will feature both a salad and chili luncheon from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prepared by the United Methodist Women and a pancake and sausage dinner sponsored by the United Methodist Men from 5-7 p.m. that evening.
Visitors to the bazaar may participate in the “Cookie Walk” where they may select their favorites from a huge variety of homemade cookies. Persons may also stop by the “Sweet Shop” where a variety of baked goods, cashews, pecans, candies, jellies and jams will be available. The “Tree, Trim and Treasures” booth will include a variety of used Christmas decorations. The “Stocked Market” features and array of handmade arts and crafts and will include wreaths, ornaments, and beautiful decorative items.
There is even a special place for children at the Christmas Tree Lane Bazaar. “Santa’s Secret Workshop” offers inexpensive items that children can purchase and have wrapped on the spot as they prepare to give gifts to family and friends.
The Christmas Tree Lane Bazaar involves many members of the church and proceeds from the event are used to support church missions and community projects.
Tickets to both the salad luncheon and the pancake/sausage dinner will be available at the door. Take-out orders are also available for the luncheon. For group seating, reservations should be made by calling the Lewisburg United Methodist Church office at 304-645-2727.
The Lewisburg United Methodist Church is located on 1133 East Washington Street (beside the Post Office) in downtown Lewisburg. For more information, call the church at 304-645-2727.
