Alderson-Charles Rollie Arbaugh, 65, passed away unexpectedly on his farm.

Born Jan. 29, 1953, at Ronceverte, he was the son of the late Charles Baylous and Mary Elizabeth Wickline Arbaugh.

Charles had farmed all his life and taught Agriculture at the Federal Prison at Alderson.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a nephew, Jack Wayne Surgeon, Jr. and a cousin, Jackie Wickline.

He was a member of the Alderson Nazarene Church. Charles was instrumental in getting the Greenbrier County Livestock Show started for the youth to get experience before the fair. He was a member of the Farm Bureau where he served on the Young Farmers Committee and was also a member of the American Shorthorn Association.

Survivors include his sister, Chita Surgeon; niece, Katrina Lynn Alderson and great nieces, Katelynn and Alyssa Alderson all of Alderson; aunt, Margaret Wickline of White Sulphur Springs; special cousins, Jacqueline Wickline Brown, Jamie Wickline, Joan Arbaugh and Wanda Carr; several cousins and numerous friends.

Funeral service was held Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg. Burial was in the Phillips Cemetery, Alderson.
