Charles Madison Huffman

Lewisburg – Charles Madison Huffman, 72, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea.

Born May 23, 1946, at Glace, he was a son of the late Price Madison Huffman and Lena Valentine Davis Huffman. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Helen Bittinger and Linda Mines, and brother, Fletcher Huffman.

Mr. Huffman was a mechanic for Kellwood Company and later a night cleaner at The Greenbrier Hotel. He was an avid fisherman and gardener.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ruth Harmon Huffman; daughter, Ada Yates of Lewisburg; sons, Jeffrey Huffman and wife Brenda of Williamsburg, WV, and Shawn Huffman of Ronceverte; grandchildren, Charles Maddox, Asher, Afton, Christopher, Stacie and Tracie; great-grandchildren, Paisley, Kynlee and Liam; sisters, Mary Hardiman and husband Marvin of Harts Run, and Myrtle Mandeville and husband Steve of Lynchburg, VA; brother, Edgar Huffman and wife Bonita of Covington, VA. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

There was a memorial service on Thursday evening, June 28, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs where Pastor Everett “Hat” Defibaugh officiated. Cremation followed the service.

Visitation was Thursday evening before the service.
