White Sulphur Springs-Charles Kennith Masters, 81, passed away Monday, Apr. 20, 2020, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 21, 1938, at Covington, VA, he was the son of the late Lee and Harriett Masters.
He was a Deacon of Wild Meadow Baptist Church, and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Berlin Crisis.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Scruggs.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Florence Irene Church Masters; brothers, Arden Masters of White Sulphur Springs, and Marvin Masters of Charleston, WV; son, Charles Masters II and wife Patricia; daughter, Tornelia Masters of Hurricane; grandchildren, Blair Garretson and husband Dean of Maryland; Charles Masters III and Aubrianna; great-grandchildren; Amelia, Adriana, and Luke.
Graveside services were held on Friday, Apr. 24, at Whatcoat United Methodist Church cemetery where Pastor Roger “Wahoo” McDaniel officiated.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations of sympathy be made to Wild Meadow Baptist Church.
