<strong><img class="wp-image-34196 alignleft" src="https:\/\/mountainmedianews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2018\/08\/Charles-Hefner-obit.jpg" alt="" width="154" height="224" \/>White Sulphur Springs<\/strong>- Charles Edward Hefner, 49, went home to be with our heavenly father on Monday, May 28, 2018.\r\n\r\nCharles was born May 13, 1969, and lived his childhood life in Caldwell with Mr. and Mrs. Cayton. Charles moved to White Sulphur springs when he was around 7 with his mom and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Campbell.\r\n\r\nCharles spent nine years at the Hargrave Military Academy and later graduated from Greenbrier East High School in 1989. Charles enlisted in the U. S. Army right after graduating and had a 25-year career in the U.S. Army where he retired as a Sergeant. Charles did tours in Kuwait, Germany, Afghanistan, Iraq and Korea. Charles was awarded numerous awards including the NATO award.\r\n\r\nCharles was buried in Lawton, OK, on June 1, 2018, with Military Honors.
