Alderson-Charles Arthur Crouse, 49, of Alderson, passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, while working in Capitol Heights, MD, following a sudden illness.

Born Feb. 13, 1965, in Welch, he was the son of the late Levi and Lois Haney Crouse.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Jack Matthew Koontz.

Survivors include: his loving family, Judy Kathleen Koontz Crouse of Alderson; son, Adam Russell Crouse of Alderson; daughter, Mikayla Dawn Crouse of Alderson; brother-in-law, best friend and confidant, Steve Matthew Koontz of Greenville; best friend, Randall Gillman of Oak Hill; mother-in-law, Barbara Kathleen Meadows Koontz of Fairlea; and beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 30 at Lobban Funeral Home Chapel, Alderson, where Pastor Allen Hilton officiated.

Burial was in Alderson Cemetery, Alderson.

Friends called Saturday, Aug. 30, at the funeral home before the service.

Serving as pallbearers were: Steve Koontz, Jackie Koontz, Randall Gillman, George Jones, Tommy Nichols and Ronnie Whitt.
