Historic Downtown Lewisburg celebrates First Fridays after Five on Friday, Apr. 4! Join the fun in downtown Lewisburg – live music, art events and tasty treats – all free to the public. Everyone is welcome!

Cooper Gallery features Ron Williams’ large original landscapes of the Southern Mountain Range, including Virginia, Tennessee and North Carolina. Breathtaking museum quality paintings! Opening reception without the artist in residence 5 to 8 p.m. Join us! (122 East Washington Street, 645-6439)

Sunflower Soul will host “Wine, Women and Wishes” workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. An adventure with vision boards: We will be creating a fun way of displaying images that represent whatever you wish to do, be or have in your life. (203 East Washington Street, 645-7685)

Django Burroughs will perform his own songs and accompanying himself on guitar at Plants Etc. (102 South Jefferson Street, 645-6910)

Stop by the Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center to meet April’s “Art in the Valley” featured artist, Sandra Schmocker. Sandra’s original show will include acrylics, watercolors and mixed media in styles ranging from realistic to surreal. Enjoy the live music of singer/songwriter Corey Lee McQuade. A local favorite, his solo performances include finger picking/flat picking guitar and clawhammer/bluegrass banjo. First Fridays after 5 takes place all year long in downtown Lewisburg with shops, galleries and restaurants in downtown Lewisburg open until 9 p.m. serving complimentary refreshments and entertainment, sponsored by City National Bank.
