Lewisburg-Carrie Elizabeth Williams, 91, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at her residence in Lewisburg.
Born Dec. 11, 1921, at Eagle Rock, VA, she was a daughter of the late Mose and Magnolia Walker.
Carrie was a self-employed caregiver and was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Johnson Williams on June 9, 1996; daughter, Sandra K. Williams on Jan. 25, 1996; and sister, Myrtle Walker.
She is survived by: two daughters, Beverly Williams of Charlotte, NC and Cynthia Williams of Lewisburg: son, Jack Douglas Williams (Debbie) of Mio, MI; two brothers, Fred Walker of Columbus, OH and Ernest Walker of Gallipolis. OH; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In honor of what would have been her 92nd birthday, friends gathered Wednesday evening, Dec. 11 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
A private interment was held beside her husband at the Trails End Cemetery at Clintonville.
Flowers were accepted for the visitation however, the family graciously declines food or flowers being accepted at the home due to relocating.
