Carnegie Hall’s Mainstage Performance Series is delighted to present the return of the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra (WVSO) for a sparkling evening of holiday favorites on Friday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m., as part of Lewisburg’s First Friday celebration.
Under the baton of Music Director Maurice Cohn, the WVSO’s “Sounds of the Season” concert promises a joyful blend of classical and pops selections that capture the magic of the holidays. From timeless carols to festive orchestral arrangements, this beloved annual performance invites audiences of all ages to celebrate together in the heart of downtown Lewisburg.
Now in its 87th season, the WVSO continues to serve as a cultural cornerstone for the Mountain State – bringing world-class music to communities across West Virginia through accessible concerts, dynamic collaborations, and a nationally recognized education program that nurtures the next generation of musicians and music lovers.
This performance is made possible through the generous support of ZMM Architects and Engineers, with additional funding provided by the James F. B. Peyton Fund and The Daywood Foundation.
