Carnegie Hall continues its 2018-2019 season on Saturday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 p.m. with a performance by the Christian Sands Trio.

Steinway Artist and five-time Grammy Award nominee Christian Sands is an emerging jazz force. His abundant piano technique perfectly matches his conception, accomplishing a much deeper musical goal: a fresh look at the entire language of jazz. Whether it’s stride, swing, bebop, progressive, fusion, Brazilian, or Afro-Cuban, Sands develops the past while providing unusual and stimulating vehicles for the present – and for the future.

Joining Sands on stage will be Jerome Jennings on drums and Eric Wheeler on bass.

Tickets to the performance start at $25, and discounts are available for Carnegie Hall members, students, senior citizens, and military. To purchase tickets call Carnegie Hall Box Office at 304-645-7917, visit www.carnegiehallwv.org, or stop by at 611 Church Street, Lewisburg. Carnegie Hall Box Office is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Headliner Sponsor is Sarah and Jim Umberger and the Main Stage Lounge Host is Edward Jones Investments/Katie Eades. For more information on becoming a sponsor contact Carnegie Hall Development Director Molly Arbogast at 304-645-7917, ext. 119 or development@carnegiehallwv.org.

This engagement of Christian Sands Trio is made possible through the Jazz Touring Network program of Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation with support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
