Snow Day Felting

Carnegie Hall invites the community to explore the artistry of felting in a special holiday workshop led by instructor Harmony Flora on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. This engaging session, Snow Day! Ornament Felting offers participants the chance to create imaginative ornaments – a melting snowman and filled star – that bring whimsy and charm to seasonal décor.

Felting, one of the oldest textile arts, transforms simple fibers into sculptural forms through a process that is both meditative and creative. In this beginner-level class, students will discover how the tactile nature of wool can be shaped into expressive designs that capture the spirit of winter. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary, making the workshop accessible to anyone interested in exploring this timeless craft.

Open to age 10 and older, the workshop accommodates up to 12 participants, ensuring a supportive environment where creativity can flourish. With a registration fee of just $12 per person, this program underscores Carnegie Hall’s commitment to making the arts approachable, affordable, and deeply connected to community life.

By offering opportunities such as Snow Day! Ornament Felting, Carnegie Hall continues to celebrate the enduring value of traditional crafts and their ability to inspire joy, imagination, and togetherness.

For more information or to register, visit carnegiehallwv.org, call 304-645-7917, or stop by 611 Church Street, Lewisburg.
