Greenbrier County Artist Miriam (Mimi) deOlloqui-Turner has teamed up with Carnegie Hall to present the Hall’s first online art auction. The auction of 17 paintings by deOlloqui-Turner will close on Nov. 15. To view and bid on the paintings in the auction, go to Carnegie Hall’s website at www.carnegiehallwv.org.

Two paintings by artist Miriam (Mimi) deOlloqui-Turner – Lavender Fields and The Crossing – are up for auction to benefit Carnegie Hall.

DeOlloqui-Turner started drawing and painting early on with her father, Valentine deOlloqui, Jr. After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, she earned an interior design graduate degree from Boston Architectural College.

She has taught watercolor in Albemarle Schools and at the Orange County Art League in Virginia. She started exhibiting watercolors and oils in 1994. Her work has been shown in Les Yeux du Monde, High Country Gallery, Gallery Neo, Thomas Jefferson Center for the Protection of Free Expression, and Warm Springs Gallery. She has had solo shows throughout Virginia, West Virginia, Maine, and Colorado, including at Carnegie Hall and Greenbrier Valley Theatre in Lewisburg. Her work was featured in SouthWest Art Magazine in 2014 and 2016.

She is a member of the Plein Air Artists of Colorado, Oil Painters of America, and Artisans of Colorado. Her paintings are in private collections and galleries in Colorado and the east coast.

Carnegie Hall is a nonprofit organization supported by individual contributions, grants, and fundraising events, most of which have been canceled this year due to the COVID pandemic. The Hall is located at 611 Church Street, Lewisburg, WV. For more information, please call 304-645-7917 or visit www.carnegiehallwv.org.
