The Our Children Our Future Campaign invite the community to attend The Campaign to End Child Poverty: Greenbrier County Legislative Forum on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 5:30 p.m. at Lewisburg City Hall.

The agenda will include a review of the 2015 Platform for addressing child poverty; create a call to action for calling legislators and assisting local child health and child poverty projects; and asking legislators to support issues that affect children.

Delegates and senators representing Greenbrier County have been asked to address priority issues around child poverty and well being including securing a funding stream for family support programs, investing in early childhood programs, juvenile justice reform, protect West Virginia’s drinking water, defend Medicaid and CHIP/expanding mental health access, WV Kids or big tobacco, retiring old laws so nurses can meet West Virginia health needs, stopping meth labs, preventing child sexual assault (Erin’s Law), providing earned, paid sick days for workers.
