Fall is coming and it’s time to make plans to attend Camp Horseshoe’s Fall Quilt Retreat near St. George in Tucker County Sept. 15-19. It will be the perfect place to spend quality time with your sewing machine and quilting friends both new and old. Come enjoy Horseshoe’s relaxed atmosphere, take advantage of this time to start a new project or catch up on those projects you have started and just haven’t found time to complete.
“Quilters will have an opportunity to choose a new project as follows: Cookie Cutter Table Topper – Debra Davis, Lansing; Twisted Christmas Wall Hanging – Joann Filler, Parsons; Runaround Bag – Frances Harper, Parsons; and Little Quilt and a Wool Project – Ann Kessel, Sherpherdstown,” said Mary Smith, facilitator of the event.
While at the retreat there are no chores, meals to cook or phones to answer. Join us for a great learning experience. You will be completely spoiled as we sew, eat and sleep. The fellowship and friendships formed will last a lifetime and you can take home a finished keepsake.
Come join in! For a brochure contact Mary Smith at 304-478-2899 or on the web at http://www.yla-youthleadership.org/HeritageArts.html for all the information and color photos of classes being offered. Registration deadline Sept. 4.
