Tamarack will host a pumpkin carving and decorating contest as part of its Spooktacular festival this October.
Members of the public are invited to enter the contest, and the first 100 people to register will receive a free T-shirt. Cash prizes will be awarded to the first, second and first place winners of each age group. Age groups are 13 and younger and 14 and older. Pumpkins will be on display at Tamarack during Spooktacular, from Oct. 22 to Oct. 31.
Pumpkins are available for purchase at Tamarack for $10 starting Oct. 16, and the contest registration fee is included in the price of the pumpkin. Registration is $5 for participants who bring a pumpkin not purchased at Tamarack.
Painted pumpkin participants are asked to drop off their pumpkins at Tamarack between Oct. 19 and Oct. 22. Winners will be announced on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 6 p.m. in Tamarack’s courtyard. Carved pumpkin participants are asked to drop off their pumpkins between Oct. 26 and Oct. 29, and winners will be announced on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m. in Tamarak’s courtyard.
