Republican Club to meet

The regular monthly meeting of the Greenbrier County Republican Club will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at Cook’s Country Kitchen at Hart’s Run. Members and visitors can make reservations for the Mar. 15 St. Patrick’s Day Dinner with Governor Morrisey as the keynote speaker. This will be the governor’s initial public event since his inaugural. The public is invited to all Club events. Both members and guests are encouraged to come early to enjoy a meal and fellowship in the dining room prior to the meeting. Club memberships are available at the meeting.

Williamsburg Baked Steak Dinner

Williamsburg invites you to treat your family to a delicious home cooked baked steak dinner on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Williamsburg Community Building. The meal will feature baked steak and gravy, real mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, salad, roll/bread, a variety of desserts and tea or coffee. The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children under 12 years old. Call 304-520-2196 for more information.

A Celebration of Nine Decades 

Please join us to honor Cleve Benedict as he turns 90! There will be a party held on Friday, Mar. 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dutch Haus Restaurant in Lewisburg. This will be an evening of stories, laughter, and celebration. Your presence is the only gift he needs! Together, let’s toast to 90 remarkable years!

Renick candidate filing period

The Town of Renick City Council Election will be held the second Tuesday in June 2025. The filing period for anyone interested in running for office is Jan. 13 through 25. Candidate Announcement Forms may be picked up daily at Renick Town Hall. If you have questions or need additional information please email renicktownhall@gmail.com.

Committee on Aging to require appointments for donations

Due to limited storage space, the Greenbrier County Committee on Aging will accept donations of medical items by appointment only. Items must be clean and in working order, some items still remain available for those who need them. Please call with any questions and before delivering or picking up, Lewisburg/Fairlea area is 304-645-1978 and the Western site in Rupert is 304-392-5138.

Veteran’s Memorial Museum 

of Southern West Virginia, 419 Ballangee Street, Hinton, WV, is open Saturdays 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Call 304-466-4443 for more information or to schedule a tour.
