Williamsburg Thrift Shop

is having a $1 bag sale in August to help with the needs of the area. Hours and days open are Mondays 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Fridays 5-7 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m.-12 noon. Flood responder retreat scheduled
A resilience and renewal retreat for disaster responders will be held Friday, Aug. 26 at Old Stone Presbyterian Church in Lewisburg. The event is sponsored by Presbyterian Disaster Assistance and the Presbytery of West Virginia. The retreat runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with registration from 8:30-9 a.m. The retreat is for all who have responded to the storms and floods of 2016. Register at https://surveymonkey.com/r/WV_RR. American Heritage Music Hall
needs volunteer help
American Heritage Music Hall at Island Park, 315 Monroe Avenue, Ronceverte, is closed due to flooding June 23 and 24. We need volunteers to help us clean up the flood damage. Flood debris notice
As Greenbrier County contractors continue to remove debris from affected homes and areas, it is important to note that only flood-related debris can and will be removed by the contractors and accepted at temporary dumpsites. Anyone bringing debris to a temporary dumpsite that is not flood-related will be directed to the Greenbrier County Landfill. Additionally, debris and construction materials being removed from structures by paid private contractors will not be picked up by Greenbrier County contractors or be allowed at temporary dumpsites. This debris must be taken directly to the Greenbrier County Landfill.
Art & Craft Show at Fairgrounds
This year the 36th Annual Art & Craft Show sponsored by Edgewood Presbyterian Church will be held Sept. 16, 17 and 18 at the WV State Fair Event Center. Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 12 noon to 4 p.m. Proceeds to benefit Hope Haven homeless shelter, Greg Carter Memorial Scholarship Fund, EPC Scholarship Fund and EPC Growth and Improvement Fund. Free parking, good food and nearly 100 exhibitors – woodcrafts, candles, jewelry, needlecraft, primitives, paintings, baskets and homemade apple butter. And the Throttle Throbs Car Show Saturday, Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information call 304-392-6607.
AA meetings
are held at St. James Episcopal Church, 218 South Court Street, Lewisburg, Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 12 noon.
NarAnon meetings
are held Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 218 South Court Street, Lewisburg. NarAnon is a 12-step support group for persons affected by someone else’s addiction. Call Susan at 304-646-6506 for more information.
