Mountain Party organizational meeting
Members of the West Virginia Mountain Party are invited to participate in the organization’s annual summit meeting Saturday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Carroll farm near Hurricane. Attention World War II Veterans
World War II Veterans, listen up! The Greenbrier Valley Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution is hereby inviting all WW II veterans residing within the jurisdictional bounds of the Greenbrier Valley Chapter (Greenbrier, Fayette, Summers, Monroe, Pocahontas and Raleigh counties) to breakfast. The honorary breakfast will be at Shoney’s restaurant in Lewisburg Saturday, Dec. 5, beginning at 9:30 a.m. This is a token of appreciation from the descendants of the veterans who fought to make America free to the WW II veterans who fought to keep America free. Veterans will be given an opportunity to share their favorite personal war-story.
Williamsburg Ruritan Club Shooting Match
will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. at the Williamsburg Community Building. Match is 8 rounds – 12 gauge guns only – full choke (.690) or larger only. Seven rounds at $2 per shot. Eighth round 50/50 at $5 per shot. Must compete in all initial 7 rounds to qualify for round 8. Cash prizes awarded. Food and refreshments available. Sponsored by Williamsburg Ruritan Club. Proceeds benefit community service projects.

‘Return to Zero’
N.O.A.H. Foundation to offer free viewing of “Return to Zero” Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. at Cinema 8 Theater in Lewisburg. The movie is a powerful story about a couple who lost their baby to stillbirth. N.O.A.H. seeks to raise awareness about pregnancy and infant loss by offering this movie to the community. Seating is limited.
Renick Christmas in the Park
The Town of Renick will host Christmas in the Park Saturday, Dec. 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Renick Park. The community is invited to join us as we celebrate the holiday season while sipping hot chocolate and sampling cookies provided by the Renick Ruritan Club and Renick Stitckers 4-H Club. If we have all been nice this year we might just get a visit from Santa himself.
Four-legged luminary event
Submissions are now being accepted for a four-legged luminary event to be held on the front lawn of Greenbrier Veterinary Hospital Friday, Dec. 18, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The community is encouraged to submit photos, poems or messages to honor pets, which will be on display for viewing the night of the event. are held at St. James Episcopal Church, 218 South Court Street, Lewisburg, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7 p.m. and on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 12 noon.
NarAnon meetings

Weekly Al-Anon meeting

The Bluefield Princeton area
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Support Group
meets once a month, usually around the last Tuesday. The group is open to all who have MS and also family and friends. Medical students and such are welcome. There is no charge or fees to join.
