The Mountaineer Horseshoe League to host 88th Annual State Horseshoe Tournament
The Mountaineer Horseshoe League will host the 88th annual state horseshoe tournament in 2026, at the Mountaineer Horseshoe Courts on Island Park in Ronceverte, WV on Aug. 29, 2026. We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy some good horseshoe pitching. Admission is free.
Marie Leist Grant application
The Marie Leist Foundation would like to announce that the deadline for accepting grant requests is Sept. 1, 2026. The Marie Leist Foundation was established in 2005 for the general purpose of making grants for charitable, religious, scientific and educational purposes to benefit the communities of Greenbrier and Pocahontas Counties. If your nonprofit or government organization would like to apply for a grant, please send your letter of request to The Marie Leist Foundation, P.O. Box 591 Lewisburg, WV 24901. Also include a copy of your 501(c)(3) tax exemption letter with your request.
