Shooting Match in Williamsburg
The Williamsburg Volunteer Rescue Squad will hold a shooting match Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Williamsburg Community Center, Williamsburg. The Match will begin at 7 p.m. Concessions will be available: hot dogs, barbecue, baked goods and more. There will be monetary prizes. 12 gauge shotguns only. Lewisburg City Hall
will be closed on Monday, Jan. 19, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The City of Lewisburg will not pick up Recycling on Monday, Jan. 19. The Recycling pickup schedule will be as follows: Monday customers – pick up will be on Tuesday, Jan. 20; Tuesday customers – pick up will be on Wednesday, Jan. 21; Wednesday customers – pick up will be on Thursday, Jan. 22; Thursday and Friday customers – pick up will be on Friday, Jan. 23. Greenbrier Valley Solid Waste will operate on their normal schedule, picking up regular trash Monday through Friday.

AHMH’s January/February schedule
Tuesday night Jam Sessions at the American Heritage Music Hall (AHMH) at Island Park, 315 Monroe Avenue, Ronceverte, are planned for Jan. 20, 27, Feb. 3, 10, 17 and 24, from 7 to 10/10:30 p.m. each evening. Doors open at 6, music starts at 7 p.m. Admission: Tuesdays $7 each; dance night $10 each. The Saturday Dance in January will be held on the third Saturday, Jan. 17, featuring the music of Country Proud. In February, the dance will be on Saturday, Feb. 28 and will feature the Lilly Mountaineers. Admission includes food, coffee and soft drinks brought in by the audience and donated to the music hall to share with everyone. (Bring your favorite snack to share.) will hold auditions Tuesday, Jan. 20 at Carnegie Hall, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Director Barbara Lutz will conduct private audition interviews for the Spring Concert usually held in late April. No appointment is necessary.

meets once a month, usually around the last Tuesday. The group is open to all who have MS and also family and friends. Medical students and such are welcome. There is no charge or fees to join.
