126th Army Navy Game Watch Party December 13
A Watch Party for the 126th Army Navy Game will be held Saturday, Dec. 13 in downtown Lewisburg, 816 South Jefferson Street 2nd floor. Event sponsored by American Legion Post 69. Doors open at 2 p.m. All Veterans & Family welcome. Refreshments / appetizers for donation.
Stocking Giveaway December 24
The Ronceverte Volunteer Fire Department will hand out Christmas stockings to all kids in the area on Wednesday, Dec. 24, at 2 p.m. on the Island Park in Ronceverte.
Burning Season Guidelines
Burning is prohibited during burning season Oct. 1 through Dec. 31 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. If burning has occurred during permitted hours (5 p.m. to 7 a.m.), the fire must be completely extinguished by 7 a.m. Burning season prohibitions exclude small fires for the purpose of food preparation, warmth or light around which all grass, brush, stubble or debris has been removed for at least 10 feet from the fire and burning which is conducted at any time when the ground surrounding the burning site is covered by one inch of snow or more.
