Benefit Dinner in Williamsburg for BJ Workman
Come and enjoy a benefit spaghetti dinner for BJ Workman on Saturday, Apr. 12 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. The menu is spaghetti, salad, dessert, and drink. The cost is by donation. Democratic Women’s Club to host event
The Greenbrier County Democratic Women’s Club is hosting an event Tuesday, Apr. 22, at 5:30 p.m., at the Clingman Center in Lewisburg. We’ll have a panel with local farmers discussing what they are facing in the current political climate. Moderated by Tommye Rafes, the panelists are Trey Yates from Greenbrier Dairy, Jennifer Gilkerson from Sunset Berry Farms, Natasha Zoe from Jarhead Farms, Mountaineer Food Bank’s Executive Director Chad Morrison, and recent Democratic candidate for Commissioner of Agriculture Deborah Stiles.
West Virginians for Clean Air
is sponsoring a free showing of the documentary “The Dimming” on Thursday, Apr. 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Clingman Center, 218 Jefferson Street North in Lewisburg. This documentary explores the issue of climate geoengineering through the spraying of chemicals in the atmosphere and the possible adverse effects on our health and on the environment. Legislation has been introduced in 24 states including West Virginia addressing this issue.
