Brent Allen “Luke” Lucabaugh, 54, of Hillsboro passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, at Genesis Healthcare in White Sulphur Springs after an extended battle with Cancer. Born Feb. 28, 1970, in York, PA, he was a son of the late George C. and Bernice Walker Lucabaugh.
Luke graduated from Pocahontas County High School in 1988. After graduation he attended Bluefield State Community College and worked at Droop Mountain State Park. After college he was an accounting tech for Denmar Correctional Center for approximately 20 years. Brent had a love for fishing, hunting and racing.
Luke is survived by his daughter Kristi Dinkins (Gage) of Hillsboro, grandson, William, brother, Nevin (Carol) of Hillsboro, nephews, Jarett and Waylon, and niece, Catherine.
In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated, and a celebration will take place at a later date.
