Ronceverte – Bonnie Boggs Massie, 86, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.

Bonnie was born Apr. 27, 1932, in Union, to the late Lawrence Sr. and Ina Dunbar.

She was a faithful member of Ronceverte Christian Church and worked as a nurse’s aide for many years until she retired. Her biggest job here on Earth was taking care of others.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Forrest E. Massie and Dwight Boggs; grandson, Eric Wayne McCallister; sister, Louise; brothers, Russel, Eddie, Lawrence Jr., and Rasco.

Surviving are her daughters, Tammy Pyne (Tim), and Patty Dolan (Keith); son, Ricky Massie, Sr. (Paula); brothers, Delbert Dunbar (Marjorie), Kenneth Dunbar; stepdaughter, Joyce Spence, as well as several stepchildren; grandchildren, Brye Pyne, Carlissa Massie, Caroline Massie, Ricky Massie Jr., Timmy Brannon (Danielle), Amber Brannon, and Kelsey Brannon; seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; special friend, Marlin Linton; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service was held Tuesday, May 8, at Riverview Cemetery in Ronceverte, where speaker Roy Massie Jr. officiated.

A visitation was held Monday evening, May 7, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Rome in Ronceverte.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations of sympathy be made to Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901 or Ronceverte Christian Church, 240 Gypsy Heights Road, Ronceverte, WV 24970.
