Kindergarten: ‘The Big Egg, by Samuel Jones, Lewisburg Baptist Academy, teacher Connie Comer
By Samuel Jones
Once there was a very big egg. It had very big dots that were blue and yellow. The egg lived in its nest on a large branch. The branch cracked and the egg fell.
A little boy was walking in the woods and saw the egg. He picked it up and took it home. The little boy was hungry. He wanted to make eggs and bacon. The boy thought that he would use the egg that he had found.
The boy cracked the egg and a bird came out. The bird looked at the boy. The boy thought that the bird’s mother would be sad if she couldn’t find her baby.
The next day, the boy took the baby bird back to the woods. The mother bird saw her baby and was so happy.
