St. Helena, SC – Betty L. Herrod, 85, widow of Robert Sheets Herrod, passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, in Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Feb. 17, at 1 p.m. in Carl Anderson Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Herrod was born on Oct. 9, 1932, in Lewisburg. She is the daughter of the late John O’Brien and Mary McMillion O’Brien.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter; Carol Ann Yambor, grandson; Daniel John Harder, two sisters; Irene O’Brien Cochran and Stella O’Brien Tucker, and brothers, Brady, Ralph and Richard O’Brien.
Surviving are three daughters, Bonnie Myers, Angela Joy Harder and Kelly Bartlett; one son, Ivan Mitchell Hanna; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that donations be made to Friends of Caroline Hospice, 1110 13th Street, Port Royal, SC 29935, Hospice Care of SC, or the American Cancer Society.
Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
