Betty Jo O’Delldj

Leivasy – Betty Jo O’Dell, 76, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte.
Born Oct. 22, 1946, at Strange Creek, Braxton County, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Leanore Dean Woods.
She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church of Leivasy, was a loving mother, grandmother and wife. She was an avid shopper, seamstress, and loved to read her Bible daily.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Woods.
Survivors include her husband, David O’Dell; two daughters, Monica Heck (Christopher) of Waynesboro, VA, and Nicole Preast (Scott) of Hico; three sisters, Linda Helems of Green Valley, Nancy Wade of Annapolis, MD, and Carol Dillon of White Sulphur Springs; brother, Brent Woods of Luray, VA; and three grandchildren, Joshua Franklin, Morgan Preast and Avery Preast.
Graveside service was held on Tuesday, June 6, at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, where Pastor Tim McClung officiated.
