Betty Jean Brown

Alderson-Betty Jean Brown, 67, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023.

She was born on Aug. 15, 1955, in Ardmore, TN, a daughter of the late Thomas Herman Andrews and Doris Louise (Durham) Andrews.

Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be remembered for her enjoyment of cooking, canning, gardening, quilting, and painting portraits of people, but most of all she cared deeply for her family and her fur baby, Toby.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Anders, of Alderson; her sisters, Martha Kaye Peppers and husband Edward of Wetumpka, AL, and Rosemary Moyers and husband Rollie of Attalla, AL; her grandchildren, Isabella Martin and companion Tyler White of North Carolina, Megan Morgan of Ohio, Hunter Morgan of Leslie, Brandon Brown and Tommy Brown of Beckley, Alisha Rodriguez and husband Chris of Orlando, FL, Brittany Starcher and companion Travor Thiesfeld of Lewisburg, Crystal Lease and husband Chris of Alderson, Jonathon Brown and companion Nikki Moyer of Quinwood, Jackie Garrison and husband Anthony of Lewisburg, Katie Hamrick of Ronceverte, Donte Haynes of Lewisburg, Kyle Rowe, Ashley Hamrick, and Eric Hamrick, all of Rupert; her 15 great-grandchildren; and her special caregiver, Amanda Sharp;  and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Junior Brown; her son, Bobby Haynes Brown; her daughter, Rachiel Starcher; and her brothers, James and Dewayne Andrews.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no services. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park, in Beckley, WV.

Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.

Lobban Funeral Home is honored in being entrusted with the arrangements.
