Betty Jane Holcomb

White Sulphur Springs-Betty Jane Holcomb, 80, of passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center following a short illness.

Betty was born Feb. 17, 1936, in White Sulphur Springs, the daughter of the late Paul Bowen and India Washington Sullivan Harper.

She was of the Methodist faith and a homemaker.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Barbara Jean Harper; brothers, Paul “Pete” Harper (POW Korean War) and William Lee Harper.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph L. Holcomb; daughters, Barbara Jean Napier of White Sulphur Springs, Teresa Lynn Wright and husband Clyde of White Sulphur Springs and Wendy Jo Holcomb of Charleston; son, James L. Holcomb and wife Janet of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Shannon Boone, Chad Holcomb and Steven Wickline; great-granddaughter, Kenley Boone; sister, Phyllis Erwin of White Sulphur Springs; brother, Richard “Dicky” Harper of White Sulphur Springs.

Memorial services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at the White Sulphur Springs Baptist Church in White Sulphur Springs where Pastor Randy Gillilan officiated.
