Ronceverte-Betty Bailey Bare, 91, passed away on Tuesday, Apr. 17, 2018, at The Brier in Ronceverte.

She was born Aug. 16, 1926, in Charleston.

Betty was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School and WVU with a B.S. in Chemistry. She worked at George’s Rexall in Ronceverte from 1965 until it closed in 1996.

She was preceded in death by her husband, S. Elwood Bare, Jr.; her parents, Arnie and Inez Wallace Bailey; sister, Beatrice Andrews; brother, Thomas Bailey; niece, Dianna Andrews; and grandson, Steven Bare.

Left to cherish her memory are sons, Woody, David (Faye), Dudley (Terry); special niece, Beth Andres College (Terry); grandchildren, Sterling (Cara), Laura, and Liz; and great-grandchildren, Gavin, Ryan, Bailey, Aubrey, Liam, and Morgan.

In accordance with her wishes, graveside services were held Friday, Apr. 20, at Riverview Cemetery in Ronceverte, where Rev. Stephen Baldwin officiated.

In lieu of flowers she requested memorial donations be made to the Ronceverte Christian Church, Gypsy Heights Road, Ronceverte, WV 24970.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte is in charge of arrangements.
