Berdenia Perdue

Bristow, VA-Berdenia “Birdie” Perdue (née Taylor) died unexpectedly at home Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, in Bristow, VA at the age of 68.

Berdenia is survived by her son, Brian Perdue and his husband Jody of Arlington, VA; her son, Brent Perdue and his wife, Tara; and her three grandchildren: Ava, Jackson and Joseph of Bristow, VA; her brother, Dennis Taylor and his wife, Kay of Union; her father, Clyde Taylor of Ronceverte; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lelia Mae of Ronceverte.

Berdenia was born Dec. 4, 1950, in Ronceverte to Clyde and Lelia Mae.

Berdenia was a member of the Ronceverte Christian Church of Ronceverte. She graduated from Marshall University with a degree in Early Child Development.  She dedicated her life to the education and caring of children, both hers and those of other people, first as a caretaker and then a full time grandmother.

A viewing was scheduled for Thursday evening, Dec. 13 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg.

A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 14 at 11 a.m. at the same location. Burial will follow in the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Lewisburg.

The family received friends and family Thursday at the Holiday Inn Express in Lewisburg immediately following the viewing.

Flowers and condolences may be sent to the Morgan Funeral home at 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
