Beatrice Juanita Green McMahan
Caldwell-Beatrice Juanita Green McMahan, born June 10, 1925, daughter of Luther Isaac Green and Ora Workman Green, went to sleep in Jesus at the age of 89 on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014.
She was a life long member of Lewisburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church with which she faithfully served her God and the church.
She retired from Greenbrier Valley Hospital as a health care worker.
Preceding her in death were: her husband, Ira Lee McMahan; daughter, Barbara Lee McMahan Freeny; grandsons, Ronnie Lee Wykle and Tracy Dean Pack; granddaughter, Crystal Michele Williams; and son-in-law, Roy Dean Pack.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories: her brother, Archie Green of Purlaski, VA; five daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda Wykle, Ruth and Robert Williams, Shirley and Tony Springston, Delsie and Terrence Knicely and Georgia McMahan; son-in-law, Hastern Freeny; five sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Debra McMahan, Dalford and Kathy McMahan, Dale and Josephine McMahan, Raymond McMahan and George McMahan; nine granddaughters, Tiffany McMahan, Scylar Jones, Melissa Pritt, Charity Gregory, Trhonda Boreiy, Marie Freeny, Crystal Freeny, Britny McMahan and Nicole Linzy; six grandsons, Mark Williams, Vincent and Westley Springston, Tony Springston Jr. and Hastern Freeny Jr.; James Pierce, Jr. is a very special grandson whom she raised from 15-months of age. She considered him as a special son and he considers her a very, very special mom; 13 great-granddaughters, Kelly Pierce, Whitny Coles, Daiya Freeny, Savannah Wykle, Savanna Gregory, Ashlee Springston, Cheyenne Boreiy, Cheyenne Williams, Latasha White, Courtney Williams, Dawn Gregory, Peyton Linzy and Brittany Williams; 11 great-grandsons, Nichallos Springston, Shane and Dakota Springston, Phillip McMahan, Donovan and Dalton Gregory, Uriah McMahan, Bret Haynes, Davon and Devante Freeny and James Pierce III; five great-great-granddaughters: Isabelle Fox, Nova Ferguesson, Gracie Bennett, Julionna Miniweather and Eva Marie Freeny; and four-great-great grandsons, Noah Walten, Seth Pritt, Levi Spence and Isiah Haynes.
She will be missed by all her family and friends and the family of God at Lewisburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
She will be laid to rest in Green-McMahan Cemetery, Back Valley Road, Rock Camp in Monroe County, where she will sleep in peace until Jesus, our Lord will descend from heaven with a shout, Voice of Archangel and Trump of God. Dead in Christ will rise first, those whom fell asleep in Jesus will meet Him in the air at Jesus’ Second Coming. —I Thessalonius 4: 16-18
Visitation at Morgan and Morgan Chapel from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3.
Funeral at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 at Morgan and Morgan Funeral Chapel with Pastor Art Jeronimo officiating.
