Greenbrier County students were thrilled to participate in the 2022 School Battle of the Books Competition. Students read six novels and answered specific questions about the books in a quiz bowl at Carnegie Hall.
Elementary Battle of Books winners from Lewisburg Elementary were: Amelia Brigman, Grace Brown, Landenn Nutter, Emma Vincent, Arabella Webb, Cora Whited, Mia Furlong, Caroline Hancock, Annabelle Holt, Stephen VanBuren, Addy Vance, and Coach April Vincent.Runners up from Ronceverte Elementary School (in alphabetical order) were: Joey Bowles, Braylin Defibaugh, Jaxon Dolan-White, Emma Erskine, Payden Grizzel, Jayma Pack, Austin Shockley, and Coach Anna Kesterson.Middle School Battle of Books winners (in alphabetical order) were: Hydee Wykle, Ean Hudnall, Leigha Crane, and Eli Trusty of EGMS Team 6.Middle School Battle of Books Runners up (in alphabetical order) were: Karsen Brown, Samhain Campbell-Regalado, Bailey Carter, Alex Fogus, and Taylor Powers of EGMS Team 4.
