The WVU Williamsburg Community Educational Outreach Service Club (CEOS) met Tuesday, June 10, at the Williamsburg Historical Foundation Museum. Linda Spencer led the CEOS lesson Backstitch: A Brief History of Needles, Bobbins, and Stitches which includes history dating as far back as 50,000 years ago!
Members participating were LauraAnn Tiller, Loretta Shirley, Cassandria Perkins, Shela McComsey, Patty Post, Burl Post, Gloria Post and guests Nora Post and Denver Tiller.
Personal Care items were collected for the Greenbrier Valley Children’s Home. In July the club will bring items for a fund raiser for the Helping Hands Organization.
Lots of fun activities are coming up this summer, including the Greenbrier County CEOS picnic and field trip to the Pomona salt cave.
The next club meeting will be July 8, beginning at noon, at the museum. The lesson will be “Your Grandson’s Not in Jail – How to Avoid Being Scammed” which will be presented by Shela McComsey.
All are welcome to attend. You’ll be surprised at what a great time you will have!
