Carolyn Lehrke is a local artist specializing in photography, and was born in Jamestown, North 13, and in 1980 became serious about her work. After a 14-year stint as a missionary in Africa she moved to West Virginia in 2004.

She has family nearby and enjoys photographing the wildlife and the great beauty of her adopted state. Carolyn’s artistic photography includes all subjects, nostalgia and still life. Her images are enhanced by in camera settings, darkroom development techniques and a special printing process. This gives her complete control over the artistic aspect as well as assuring the quality and longevity of her prints. Photography is truly an art form and Carolyn would consider herself fortunate to have found an appreciative audience for her work.

In addition to the “fun” photography of scenic and wildlife, Carolyn also does photo restoration and reprints of non-copyrighted photos; scanning of negatives and slides; insurance and appraisal photos; pets; show animals; and special events.

You are welcome to come and see her collection Friday and second Saturday of each month. She can be reached at 304-992-2619 or at clpics10@gmail.com.
For further information about Carolyn Lehrke and the calendar of events at Lee Street Studios contact the studios at 681-318-3551 or visit Facebook at www.leestreetstuioswv.com.
