Downtown Lewisburg will be celebrating First Fridays after Five on Friday, Mar. 1. Join in on the fun with live music, art events, and tasty treats all free to the public. Everyone is welcome!

A New Chapter Book Store invites all to stop in for light refreshments, music and a book giveaway! (922 Washington Street West, 681-318-3501)

Carnegie Hall hosts two opening receptions: The Board Room Gallery features “Horizons” by Ginger Danz and The Lobby Gallery showcases work by Tatjan. (611 Church Street, 645-7917)

Pop in at WV Fine Artisans to see the work of their newest artist, Bruce Brenneman. While you check out his beautiful turned wood bowls, have a complimentary glass of warm winter punch and a cookie or two! (1042 Washington Street East, 667-0320)

The Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center is pleased to present the 6th Annual Alderson Quilters and Crafters Guild quilt display. The guild, founded in 1992, meets monthly at the Alderson Community Center, where they have a permanent guild room. The quilters sew a yearly “Rent” quilt which is raffled, with the money given to the Alderson Community Center. Members of the group will be on hand during First Fridays quilting, chatting with visitors and selling tickets for the “Rent” quilt. Music for the event will be provided by local favorites, Strum Sum Band. Don’t miss this fun evening of beautiful quilts and toe-tapping music! (905 Washington Street West, 645-1000)

It’s nearly spring and Hawk Knob Cider is flowing at Bella The Corner Gourmet. Perfectly paired with cheeses, stop in and sample a cider or two. Don’t forget to bring in your worst frying pan!
