The annual meeting of the Greenbrier River Watershed Association will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 218 S. Court Street, Lewisburg. All members and anyone interested in the association’s work to preserve the watershed are welcome to attend.
Featured speaker will be Elise Keaton, GRWA outreach and education coordinator, who has networked with many groups and informed the public about proposed pipelines in our area for a year. She will update members on the most current situation with the pipelines, which would cross many small and large streams in our watershed and cross the main river twice.
There will also be brief reports on ongoing education projects and the Proposed Birthplace of Rivers National Monument. For information and updates on the GRWA’s work, visit www.greenbrier.org or Facebook Greenbrier Watershed.
