U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced $334,118 from the American Rescue Plan to support restaurants and businesses located in airports across West Virginia. This American Rescue Plan funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) will be used to support both large and small concessions in four airports across the state.
Of these funds, $11,015 has been allotted to Greenbrier Valley Airport in Lewisburg.
“Many industries in West Virginia have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, including our airports and restaurants. I fought to include millions of dollars in the American Rescue Plan to support these West Virginia industries. Now, West Virginia businesses are receiving this much needed help that will support restaurants, shops and other businesses located in West Virginia airports,” said Senator Manchin. “I look forward to seeing the positive impact of this funding and will continue to advocate for our economic industries in the Mountain State.”
