The Greenbrier County Airport Authority announced at its Tuesday meeting that Jeff Kmiec had resigned from his post on the board. Authority Chairman Lowell Rose received the resignation by email.\r\nKmiec represented The Greenbrier\u2019s interest on the board. There is no word yet on who will take his place.\r\n\u2022 \u2022 \u2022\r\nGovernor Tomblin has extended the State of Emergency for Clay, Greenbrier, Kanawha, Nicholas and Webster counties following June\u2019s flooding. The designation allows for continued state resources to support residents and communities.\r\nThe State of Emergency for Fayette, Roane and Summers counties expired on Sept. 21.\r\nResidents affected by the flooding and in need of assistance are encouraged to visit wvflood.com.\r\n\u2022 \u2022 \u2022\r\nThe film \u201cHidden Figures\u201d is set to tell the story of three African American women who worked as \u201chuman computers\u201d for NASA, including White Sulphur Springs native Katherine Johnson, who is 9 ears old.\r\nJohnson is set to be played by Taraji P. Henson. The Fox film studio movie is scheduled for wide release in January 2017.
