Are you currently renting and want to own your own home? Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity can help. They are taking new home construction applications in Greenbrier County.

Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit housing ministry that builds homes in partnership with individuals and families who are in need of safe, decent, and affordable housing. We offer partner families a hand-up, not a hand out by utilizing biblical economics. Exodus 22:25 tells us that, “If you lend money to my people, the poor among you, you shall not deal with them as a creditor; you shall not exact interest from them.”

All of the houses they build are sold to partner families at no profit and no (0 percent) interest. To realize these biblical principles, they utilize volunteer labor, financial and in-kind donations, and “sweat equity” from the partner families that they build for. Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity is in a unique position to enable families with limited financial resources, and who would not typically qualify for a home loan, to obtain homeownership.

If you or someone you know would like to apply or request more information, contact Holly Champ at 304-358-7642.

Give a financial donation to help Habitat’s partner families. Go to almostheavenhabitat.org to make your contribution online.

Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity does not discriminate against any applicant because of age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, handicap, familial status, or national origin. Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity is an Equal Housing Opportunity lender.
