Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity is excited to announce that applications are now open for partner families interested in purchasing one of three new affordable homes currently under development in Ronceverte, WV.

These homes – North A, North C, and Chesapeake – represent the organization’s continued commitment to expanding safe, stable, and affordable housing opportunities across Greenbrier County. Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity partners with local families who are ready for the stability of homeownership, but may not qualify for a traditional mortgage.

Selected partner families purchase their homes through an affordable, zero profit mortgage and contribute “sweat equity” hours as part of the Habitat model.

Available homes:
• North A Home – 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
• North C Home – 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
• Chesapeake Home – 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms

Who should apply:
Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity encourages applications from individuals and families who:
• Demonstrate a need for safe, affordable housing.
• Have the ability to make monthly mortgage payments.
• Are willing to partner with Habitat through sweat equity and homeownership education.

For these homes, we are looking for families that have a total income within the range of 50 to 60 percent of the area median household income for Greenbrier County. Income requirements vary based on household size, but would approximately be: $28,750 – $34,500 for a family of two; $32,350 – $38,820 for a family of three; $35,900 – $43,030 for a family of four; and $38,800 – $46,560 for a family of five.

How to apply:
Interested families can learn more by submitting the New Home Inquiry form located on our website: https://www.almostheavenhabitat.org/housing-help

Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit housing ministry dedicated to building strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership. Through volunteer labor, community partnerships, and donor support, Habitat works alongside families to create safe and affordable places to call home.
