Alderson-Alice Paige Jeffries, 85, formerly of Fairlea, passed away at her residence on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021.

She was born Dec. 7, 1935 in Lewisburg, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Florence A. McClung Plumley.

Alice was a member of Old Stone Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Fairlea Firemenettes.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira E. Jeffries, Jr.; and a brother, John Plumley.

Surviving are her daughters, Laura Cochran and husband David of Alderson and Lillian Simmons and husband Shannon of Moneta, VA; grandchildren, Christian Simmons, Hunter Simmons, Savanna Simmons, Madison Simmons, Lindsay Cochran, Jeremy Cochran and Caleb Cochran; great-grandchildren, Kinslee McNeely, Levi Simmons, Aubree Simmons and Raelynne Simmons; sister, Grace Hinkle and husband Harold of Lewisburg; brother, Charles “Chuck” Plumley and wife Patti of Lewisburg; sister-in-law, Linda Plumley of Texas; and various nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens beside her husband.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte is in charge of arrangements.
